Formed in the Fall of 2003, SEAD (Supporting Excellence & Advocating Diversity) is a student-managed organization dedicated to promoting excellence in academics and leadership while enhancing the overall undergraduate experience. The program is committed to fostering support and cultural enrichment for all students through innovative presentations, activities, and services. In particular, SEAD hopes to engage students in its efforts to expand cultural awareness while creating a supportive environment for underrepresented students.
As a dean's initiative at Stern, we support diversity conversations at the business college. We provide a mentorship program alongside the Academic Achievement Program (AAP), we host weekly events that discuss diversity in corporate America and we coordinate intimate company and student meet-ups that aid the professional development aspirations of many students of color.
